Meet Your Breeder
Hi, we are Stacy & Alex!
A Mother-Daughter team who understands firsthand how a dog can change your life!
Our passion for breeding began when Alex was just 13 and required a service dog to attend school with her. I was a newly single mom determined to meet my little girl’s needs so I earnestly sought out every option possible. We found an incredible trainer willing to donate her time, but we had to find the dog. I (Stacy) researched day and night. I learned the best way to breed and wanted a puppy (or adult dog) from a top-notch breeding program, but I couldn’t afford one.
We ended up adopting a full-grown American Golden Retriever named Summer. Summer, being ‘affordable’ was not bred well, she was not given ENS or the right start to life in the early months. Even though she had our hearts, the training was TOUGH, and there were things she never overcame. It took a lot more out of us than it should have. To be honest, some seasons were absolutely miserable. Summer was given access as a service dog in training but never passed her final service dog test, she never overcame some of her anxieties either. She did walk to school with Alex every day, slept in her bed, and was her best friend. Of course, we are completely in love with her which made it all the more heartbreaking to see her health decline before she was even 7 years old.
My daughter is so attached to Summer I can’t describe the pain it is to know she may lose her dog long before her time. She would not have these health (or temperament) issues if she had been bred correctly & given the right start to life. Our love for Summer and the beautiful impact she had on all of our lives, namely Alex’s, is what motivates us to breed the way we do. Summer, and all dogs, deserved a better start to life and a longer quality of life. We are determined to breed the healthiest, happiest dogs. We want you to fall in love with your puppy and enjoy a beautiful, long happy, healthy, quality, life together!
We do everything for these puppies that we wish had been done for Summer. This goes far beyond breed-standard health testing.
